Hi, I'm New Here!

Greetings to all who know and love my family. I'm the newest member! My name is Meekin Robert Becker. I know my brother, Henry, has been keeping everyone informed of the happenings in our family, but now that I'm around, he'll have to share the duty sometimes. Here's a little information about me... I was born Friday, August 15, 2008 at 7:10pm and I weighed a whopping 8lbs, 12oz (a whole pound more than my brother) and 20 1/2" long. My head was 14 3/8", for which my mom thanks Daddy's side of the family. My eyes are blue and I have lots of dark hair.
Here's my first photos with Mom.

Proof of what a big guy I am!

This is my daddy...he's a pretty proud guy!
Here I am in my first clothes at the hospital. I had other pictures taken there too by a nice lady. You can see them at http://www.nkch.org/. Look at the web nursery for my name and birthday.
All the attention and camera flashes make me so tired. It's hard to run from the paparazzi when you're brand new! Mom told me I'll be able to give Henry a run for his money on who's the loudest mouth in the house!
Dad's been working on teaching me how to be a man...He said that anytime you're tired, a man is entitled to a nap. He even took one while Mom was in labor.

Then he took another with me while Mom was showering at the hospital.

Our plan was to head home on Saturday, but after the nurse poked my foot to steal some of my precious blood, she said I had to stay at the hospital a little longer because I didn't pass a test. I didn't know I was going to have to study so soon! Even though I didn't pass the test, I got to lay on a nice warm beach with cool shades. What sort of punishment is that? I finally passed my test on Sunday night and was allowed to come home with Mom and a little light machine. I sleep with it and it keeps me warm and cozy. I studied hard and passed my test today and hopefully will pass tomorrow. If I do, the light machine goes away and I suppose my real life at home will begin.

I've been working on making faces to entertain everyone, because I understand that's what my job is. This morning, I decided to share a half a smile. It made Mom and Nanny happy, so I guess I'm doing a good job!
