The Great Helicopter Fly Off

There were a lot of laughs and mouths wide open (you have to hold your mouth just right, you know) at our house yesterday.  We had a great helicopter fly off with Gram, Pappy, Mike, Pam and Jason.  Four little helicopters and one big one flying all around our atrium provided for a fun day!

Here, Mike was showing me the ropes.  I think there might have been a reason he was in the Navy and not the Air Force.

We couldn't all fly, so we played a little Twister and kid friendly Scrabble too! 

Really? How Much Older Do I Have To Be?

While in the car today, Henry said something that I didn't catch.  When I asked him to repeat it, he laughed and said, 'Don't worry, you'll understand when you're older, Mom.'  Seriously?!

A Great Day For The Zoo!

After all the icky cold weather we've had, today was a nice warm day to hit the zoo with Nanny and our friends!

Mom's Night Out!

Every once in awhile, Mom sneaks away with her friends.  She recently went to a crepe restaurant with Hadley and Shel and had yummy dinner and dessert!

Happy Half Birthday, Meekin!

Meekin's officially 2 1/2 now!  We woke up to presents on Meekin's half birthday - UGLY DOLLS!  Mom made the dolls and Rollin's Nanny made shirts for us!  They're awesome!

We got to have pudding and whipped cream for dessert! 

Notice not only my very full mouth, but my two watches.  Dad asked me if I was keeping track of the time in Tokyo so I knew when the markets opened.  He's ridiculous! 



Don't Worry, Be Crabby!

We had crab legs for supper one night this week.  Meekin liked them, but I didn't.  Mom didn't catch a picture of my face when I tasted them, but it was a pretty icky one!  Dad tried to pinch us with their claws!

Until I decided to fight back!

Happy Valentines Day!

On Monday, we had a party at school for Valentines day.  We had lots of yummy food, played a good game and got all sugared up - right before we went home!

Misinformation

During a random conversation that happens frequently at our house, Chris told Henry that we bought Meekin at Wal Mart.  Without a second passing, Henry said, 'No, we got him at the pet store!'

An Overheard Conversation

While the boys were eating dessert tonight, Chris and I overheard the following conversation:

Meekin:  We should go to the talking house more often. ('The Talking House' is the Fire in the Hole ride at Silver Dollar City)
Henry:  When it's open, we'll go.
Meekin:  Silver Dollar City's closed.  We can get a key and get into the talking house!

Hmmm...should I notify BPD that my children have Chevy Chase tendencies and are considering breaking into SDC?

A New Kid-chen!

Mom made another kid-chen for her friend and we got to help!  It all started out like this...

Happy Chinese New Year!

We studied Chinese New Year at school and got to eat our snack with chopsticks - modified for kids, of course.  I brought my chopsticks home so I could eat supper with them.

 All is good so far...  Steak with corn relish and yummy twice baked potatoes!

 Success!

 Dinner all of the sudden went bad when I decided I didn't want what we were having.  I have a lot of stamina and thew a fit for an hour and a half.  It was pretty ugly. 

 Dad tried to talk to me after a bit and Meekin climbed on his back - using his pants for a step.  Ok, that's just funny!

I did eventually eat my cold dinner.  I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't throw a fit like that again.

Crafty Kids

With all the cold lately, we haven't been playing outside much, so Mom has come up with lots of things to occupy our time.  We love to be crafty and paint!

 Meekin's also been fixing some things around the house.

 Nanny and Mom got the trains back out and they've taken over the loft!  No longer confined to the train table, they're all over the floor, using every piece of track we have!
