The Bailey-Newville Wedding

Our cousin Natalie got married yesterday and since she knew we had experience in the ring bearer department, she asked us to help out.  Here she is in all of her bridal glory!
The flower girl, Berkleigh was loving Natasha's bouquet...it was a good teether!
Here I am, making a practice run with Meekin in the wagon.  He decided he wanted to sit in the Bumbo and be the princess!
Daddy and Meekin!
Meekin decided he'd take care of the flower petals, since Berkleigh was just chewing them.  He threw lots of the petals before we even got close to the aisle so Dad had to go into clean up mode.
Here we go!  It was all good until I got about half way down the aisle and I about couldn't pull the load.  When I finally got a little boost of energy and got going again, everyone clapped for me!
The happy couple...
You know bribery is always involved when a little boy has to dress up and do something...We got suckers!  I've been working on my winking too!
After my sugar rush, I passed out during the ceremony.  Wasn't the first wedding I've slept through and I'm sure it won't be the last!
Momma and Meeks
There was a photo booth at the reception...Meekin love the hats!
I liked taking pictures with Mommas camera...  Rebecca was a victim of my lens!

More Conversations with a 3 Year Old

Henry continues to keep us rolling!  He is quite a miniture adult and we never know what he's going to say!
Here are a few examples...

*Chris was headed to check on the bees and Henry ran after him and said, 'Daddy, those things sting - you know that, right?!'

*Chris asked Henry if he thought that Aunt Sara should buy a house that we went to look at, 'Well, Daddy, I've been meaning to talk to you about that...'

*We were in the car and he was rambling about who knows what and then all the sudden, he said, 'Speaking of Puerto Rico, let's talk about palm trees...'

*Henry was behaving terribly one morning (yes, he does that sometimes) and I was at my wits end.  I finally asked him if I needed to give him a spanking.  His reply, 'Um, let me think about it...no.'

Park Day and a Playdate

This good weather is here, so we've been hitting the parks a lot this week.  Meekin even had a playdate with his buddy Rollins while Momma helped out at the church garage sale.  Check it out!
Does this group look like trouble or not?  Monkey see, monkey do, monkey get in trouble too!!

Shelby, Joelle and I picking bark off the tree at the playground.  Ironically, we spent more time doing this than playing with the play doh we had or playing on the equipment!

Playgroup at Santa Fe Park

Today, Meekins playgroup met at Santa Fe Park for a morning of fun.
Of course, we spend a lot of time on slides - we love them!

And of course, Meeks goes down on his belly a lot!

Ready...Set....GO!!!
Working on math skills...
Playing in the 'house'.

Momma's Monkey Boys

A wimper was heard from the atrium, so I went to check it out...  There, I found Meekin stuck on top of his cozy coupe.  How on earth did he get up there?
He probably learned it from his brother!!

Just A Fishin'

Pappy and Daddy took Meekin and I fishing recently and we had a great time!  I used my fishing pole I got for Christmas and even though nothing was biting, it was still a good manly day!  As daddy would say, 'a bad day fishing is still better than a good day rummage saling with Mom!'
Meekin didn't really get into the whole fishing thing, but he did like to be outside and climb on logs!
Me and my Paps!

A Family Easter Celebration

We headed to Carthage for to celebrate Easter and since we were that close to Bentonville, I decided to channel my inner Sam Walton.  Check out my getup!  I picked it all myself and was very proud.  Mom did make me take off my hat for church, but I'm pretty sure I still looked good in plaid, diagonal stripes and vertical stripes!
I know PoPo had just gotten out of bed when we were leaving for church, but there is seriously something wrong with his get up.  He needs to start taking fashion lessons from me!
A family shot.
After Mass, we headed to Aunt Jan's for a feast and some hunting - of the egg sort, that is.  The plastic bags were handed out and we were ready to roll!
We're still waiting.....these grown ups don't realize that a minute to a little kid is a loooong time!
My Megan and her Max.
Finally!  The hunt was on and I got a little help from Pat.

Lily, Jax and Patty
Meekin got help from Nanny.  Once he figured out there was candy in some of the eggs, he wasn't interested in going any further until he chowed!
Not only were the eggs stuffed with candy, but they were also stuffed with numbers that we matched with lots of prizes!  I even got a bug net and captured my favorite cousin!
Eyes closed or not, Great Henry and Great Niecy are a good looking pair!
What a great day of celebration with our family!
