All Daddy wanted for Fathers Day (yes, once again, we're way behind!) was to take the Missouri River to the River Market. Now, someone who wasn't interested in taking a boat to purchase produce would say why boat? It's just a 13 minute drive from your house in an air conditioned mini van. Nope, not the Beckers. We drove 20 minutes to the boat ramp, put in the river, drove against the wind and current for 50 minutes so we could walk a block, take an elevator, walk 3 more blocks, buy produce. After all of that, we walked back 3 blocks, took the elevator down, walked 1 more block, loaded the boat with produce, drove down river, with the wind at our backs, loaded the boat back on the trailer and drove 20 minutes home. Whew! A simple gift for a simple guy!
Boys messing around on the boat.
Approaching KC and the Bond Bridge
Going under the Bond Bridge.
This is where we tie up ad go up the steps to get to the sidewalk that leads to the elevator.
In the elevator and excited!
