Lake Adventures

Back at the lake for the last few days, we had more adventures!  We took a long boat ride that literally put Meekin to sleep.

We went so far on the lake, we ran out of lake!  We ran into Lindley Creek, which empties into Pomme. 

We saw lots of beaver dams, including this one that blocked the creek. 

Daddy decided to get out and walk on the dam, which probably wasn't a very good idea.  Especially considering the current and the fact that we started drifting away from him.  Mom started having de ja vu about that time.  Anyone remember the sailboat fiasco 9 years ago?  Fortunately, we got dad back on the boat this time with less effort than it took Mom on the sailboat.

We saw lots of trees with their roots out of the ground! 

After the trip, Meekin drove us down our dirt road.  He's actually a pretty good driver. 

We cleaned out the cabin yesterday and found snake skins.  ICK! Mom said.  I like them and am bringing them to school today.  Mrs. Supplee will love them! 

We cleaned up a lot, but left some for Gram and Pappy to do!
