A Little Christmas Trip

We all took a little trip with Gram and Pappy this week to see the sights and sounds of Branson.  Of course, we had to stop on the side of the road on more than one occasion when us little boys in the back seat yelled, 'PEE!!'  Nothing like a little moonshine on the side of the road.
Here we are at the Sight and Sound Theater, where we saw 'Miracle of Christmas'.  It was amazing.  Meekin and I were good during the 2 hour long show, though when it was almost through, I declared that, 'I didn't know it was going to be so loud in here' and then at the end, I declared that, 'I'm not going to any more puppet shows!'.  It really was a wonderful show though and all the grown ups really liked it a lot.
They had a very tall tree at the theater!
 Gram, Pappy and their boys.
Our row...only 7 rows from the stage!
After the show, we had pizza in our room.  Meekin was very relaxed and eating his while laying down.
There was a pretty tree in the hotel lobby too.  Mom decided it would be a great photo opportunity, but I had a little different idea.
Like trying to push my brother out of the chair.
Well, Mom got a good picture of Meekin.  Just wait until he becomes completely uncooperative.  She'll be really upset then!
Next day, Silver Dollar City and waiting for the tram with Gram.
The tram ride doesn't count as a good ride, but it gets us closer to the good ones!
The big tree in the square.
Another photo opportunity...I was trying to shoot the photographer.
On our way to the Flooded Mine, we encountered a train conductor that had a fun wooden top.  He showed daddy how to do it and boy did it fly!
Then he showed Meekin how to do it.
Meekin was uncertain as to what to do with the top.
Once inside the Flooded Mine and armed, I was on full alert!
Meekin was ready too.  We just love that ride!
We stopped in at the Frosty the Snowman show and watched them sing and dance.
After that, we headed to more rides.
We stopped in at one of the official measuring stations and lo and behold!  Meekin was declared to be 40 3/8" tall!  That means, he got a bracelet that changed his SDC ride riding life!  Mom no longer had to tell him no when he wanted to ride the bigger rides!  First stop, the choo choo roller coaster!  He and Pappy rode with Dad and I.

Then, we rode the big swinging boat, which Meekin didn't like.
After a few more rides, we went to see the living nativity.  It was so dark and peaceful listening to the music, I passed out!
We watched the light parade after that.  It was dark, getting to the end of the parade and when Mom asked me what was coming next, I stated, very loudly, 'Jesus is coming!'.  A nativity float was among the next few and of course, baby Jesus had a prime seat, so that was what I saw.  There were lots of laughs from people around us.
When the parade was over, we hit Fire in the Hole - really got Meekin broken in right for his first day of riding!  I even decided that I like Fire in the Hole now and I'm not going to cut it down with a chainsaw when I get bigger!
