Just like any other month, but especially ones where the weather is nice, we've been very busy, thus minimal blog action! We've made several trips to the zoo, some when it was pretty chilly outside and today, when it was HOT!
Each time we visit, I have to check out the progress of the Polar Bear Plunge Exhibit. Maybe another month or so and the bobcats and construction workers will move out and the polar bears can move in!
Brothers on a misson: run from Mama and make her crazy!
Rollins, Meekin and I checking out the rhinos.
Meekin checking out our favorite animals!
We had 3 trips on the carousel just today!
On the last trip, Meekin used his microphone hand to declare, 'All Aboard' the entire ride!
I was very proud of myself for picking out the Royals lion to ride on since I was wearing my Royals hat. I'm a matching kind of guy.
Along with the carousel, we also made a couple rounds on the train! Michelle, Jo and Preston had never been on the zoo train, so it was extra exciting!
Meekin's friends! (Meekin, Brody, Preston, Rollins & Meredith)
We haven't spent our whole month at the zoo (though Mama says sometimes she feels like she lives in a zoo!). We've also celebrated Daddy's birthday!
We've had plenty of playtime at home too. A few injuries too! Meekin fell into train tracks and gave himself a little gash and a black eye. Another day, he crashed into an unknown object and scraped his cheek and cut his jaw open. Ah, the joy of boys!
One morning, diaper duty was put off (a minor miscommunication between parents) and when Mama went to change Meekin's diaper, there was no diaper on the booty... The very wet load had come apart on one side and slid down his leg, creating one fat ankle!
Meekin and I decided to reorganize the atrium closet and came across a bucket of hats to model!
