A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!!

The weather for the past couple of days has been unseasonably, wonderfully cool! We spent this morning cleaning up the garden a little bit since it was only about 60 degrees. Meekin spent the morning supervising!

Is that not a gorgeous tomato plant? They're grape tomatoes and when they turn red, it will be like having a candy bush! I LOVE to eat them!

Here's one of our many pumpkins that are getting to be very big! I keep telling everyone that it's going to tear the fence down soon.

After our garden time, we had lunch and then went to a fire truck show! There were a dozen or so fire trucks there that were all different styles and ages.

We even got to climb on some of them.
We took a ride on one of them too - how fun!Old Glory flying high above our ride.
Daddy helped me go through a little house and learn what to do in case of a fire at our house. Afterward, I climbed down the chain ladder.
As if all that wasn't enough, then we went to Lake Jacomo for the KC AC radio controlled air show.

Daddy's friend Jared has a couple of planes, so we got to see them and watch him fly! This is one of them....
and this is the other. Notice me...a man among men!
They were doing such cool stunts! Flying straight up, straight down, sideways, turning flips... CRAZY! Jared pulling his plane to the airstrip to prepare for flight.

What a good day!
