Who Are All These Pasty White People?

We've been having a wonderful family adventure, so let's get to it and I'll tell you all about it. Gram, Pappy, Aunt Ally, Nanny, Mom, Daddy, Meekin and I all went to Porta Arta Mexco for a week of fun in the sun. Here's Ally and I playing in the surf at sunset!
I'm in! Consider me a beach bum!
The sunsets were beautiful!
Pappy was trying to keep the sun up just a little longer...we wanted more time to play!
I took a spin on a kayak with Daddy and Mom. I really didn't want to get off!
Playing in the sand is a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!
Here's Daddy playing in the surf. He tried to boogie board, but his timing's a little off...he got smacked by a big wave and bruised his ribs really bad. He's still whining about that.
Even Meekin enjoyed the sand.
We spent a little bit of time on the playground at the resort. As usual, I love slides!
Nanny taught me how to walk on the knots in the rope cage.
Teeter totters rock! So to speak...
We learned how the bus system worked, so we went downtown - even to Wal-Mart and Sam's - can't get away from them, even in Mexico! Mom and Daddy went other places and saw really cool sand sculptures.
We took a bike tour to a jungle safari place. I think I had the best bike!
On the way, we stopped and saw a family of ostrich. This one wasn't happy about our visit and was pecking at the fence trying to get us!
At the safari place, we saw dolphins jumping.
There was even a baby there!
There were BIG iguanas up in the trees too!
Welcome to the jungle!
Meekin slept through most of the ride and tour. He was happy in his mei tai.
Before we left, we went into a tunnel to see the dolphins under water!
Meanwhile, back at the resort... We spent a lot of time in the pool too!
This is seriously fun!
Some of my Canadian counterparts taught me how to go down the slide on my belly!
Oh Wow! This is fun!
Yeah, AS IF! Seriously, do you think I would really need a lesson from old what's his cracked rib? I don't think so.
I can do just fine on my own!
One morning, we took a tour of a small local mall and had Italian gelato. Yum!Our last night...(inject sobs, whining, wails and moans here) We had a yummy Mexican dinner. I decided to rip apart the edible flowers that came in Nanny and Mom's salads and use my utensils as tools to 'fix' the table.
We're not happy about going home, but we're trying to look cheery for pictures.
Despite Daddy and Meekin both being sick before and during our trip, we had a great time and were very depressed to come home to the cold arctic. It's so much more fun to be sick at the beach.
