The Amana Colonies

I visited my 6th state over the last weekend - what a traveler I have become! Dad, Mom, our friends Mike & Stacie and I all went to the Amana Colonies in Iowa over the weekend. We had so much fun! The colonies consist of a grouping of 8 German colonies that now consist of B & B's, shops, restaurants and trails, not to mention the Amana/Whirlpool Factory.
Shopping, Shopping, Shopping was what Stacie and Mom wanted to do. So, I hung out with Dad and Mike. Real men sit on benches and wait.

Mom and Stacie took breaks occasionally too. They really wanted to bring one of these neat old double wooden swings home!

Dad and Mike decided to get into the shopping thing at the woolen mill. I told Dad that pink fur was definitely not for him.
I had hoped to go to a zoo while we were on vacation...why do some people try to trick nice little babies like me?
It all worked out...I decided to give Mike an ear full the next morning!
This was the view from our campsite Sunday night right before a big storm came through. The wind was blowing so hard, we wondered if our camper was going to blow over!
