Pitts Christmas

We had a fun overnight at Brooke and Nathan's house for the Pitts Family Christmas.  I love playing with Owen, so I was really excited to go!  We watched a little tv...

and shot guns.  We are pretty good performers if you ask me!

Hudson liked tearing in to the sprinkled, chocolate dipped marshmallows we brough for hot chocolate! 

During our annual, somewhat obnoxious, gift exchange, Nathan got a gift that's been wandering through the families for a couple of years now.  He decided to model it and then Gram thought he needed a smooch from the fish - another long regifted item.

Note from Mom:  We slept in the extra bedroom at the Garver home and knowing that the boys would want to sleep close to us, Brooke fixed a pallet on the floor for the boys.  She used fluffy quilts and a papasan cushion, which seemed awesome to me.  When Henry walked into the room, he looked at it in slight horror, stood back a little and said, "Is that a dog bed?"  The tone was definately, 'I am not sleeping on a dog bed!'  I have never laughed so hard!  His body language, facial expression and tone were priceless.  He did sleep there just fine!

Our Gingerbread Village

We love decorating gingerbread houses and Mom pretty much just turned us loose this year to do as we wanted.  here's a couple of pics!

The next morning, when we woke up, we went to see if our icing was dry and this is what we found!  Percy, the elf, had apparently helped himself to the frosting and then wrote his name.  What a silly guy! 

Seussical The Musical At Crown Center (aka, Whoa Nelly, Are We Behind!!!)

The harassing phone calls and texts can stop now, we're getting caught up!  After our week in Branson we came home to a fun field trip day with Gram and Pappy!  We went with my class to see Seussical the Musical at the Coterie Theater in Crown Center.  We loved the show and afterwards, we had lunch at Fritz'!  We'd never been and had such a good time!

A Week In Branson

We spent a week in Branson really getting in the holiday mood!  We did some shopping, saw lots of lights and had a great time!  The resort that we stayed at had a small indoor waterpark which proved to be a complete hit with the boys!  They also really liked driving over the Table Rock Dam multiple times!

Of course, we spent a lot of time in one of our favorite stores - Bass Pro!  The boys love all the games and activities there. 

We've seen Santa multiple times and Meekin has gotten to really like him a lot.  He talks his ear off!

Back at Bass Pro, we ran into some of our cousins and played and then had dinner with them. 

Bubble boys!  It's amazing how many bubbles a jacuzzi tub will make! 

A sleepy boy!  Henry watched Christmas movies and Meeks passed out for a bit before we bundled up and headed for Silver Dollar City with Nanny! 

The boys decorated cookies in the toy store.  They were very proud of their creations! 

Whoville Holidays at the River Market

Once again, we visited Whoville and celebrated the holiday season with the Grinch.  We started out by making awesome hats with Oddball Kids.

A Funny Day with Percy

Percy, our Christmas Elf, hides in many different places when he comes to us each day, but this particular morning, I found particularly funny.  When I spotted him in the morning, he was in the 'egg snotter'!!  For those of you who don't have such culinary tools in your kitchen, it's a sort of sick looking egg seperator.  The whites come out this fella's nose...you get the idea.  Anyway, we love it when Percy comes and can't wait to see where he is each morning!

Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro

We have had several very fun trips to Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro.  Fortunately, we were able to play with all the fun toys before they got broken by other visitors.  On our last visit, we were there when Santa was, so we got to give our lists to the big guy. 

Santa read Meekin's list and clarified what he wanted.

After our visit, we did get to play with a few non broken toys.  Gram liked the bows and arrows like Mom did!
