Go Royals!

Our wonderful neighbors, Tom and Kathy, offered us their tickets to tonight's Royals game, so Daddy and I took off!

Happy Memorial Day!

We had supper at Gram and Pappy's on Memorial Day.  They had just gotten back from vacation and said they missed us so much, we should come have dinner and then stay the night with them.  Mom and Dad are never going to say no to a whole night's sleep without kids, so that's what we did!

For dessert, we had watermelon, which I devoured in an attack sort of way.

  

 Even though it was supposed to be seedless, I got a small seed on my nose.  I thought it was pretty funny that I could blow it off without touching it!

Road Trip!

Since school was out, we decided to take a road trip for a week.  First, we headed to Carthage with great intentions of making it to Joplin to eat at Pizza by Stout.  Those plans were cancelled when the bad tornado hit Joplin making it a big mess.  We are very sad that PBS was destroyed, but are hopeful that it will be reopened someday. 

We got lots of jump time on PoPo's trampoline and yes, that is Meekin, naked on it.  He has decided that he doesn't like to be wet or dirty and so when he gets wet or dirty, he strips himself down.  Mom told him he couldn't take a bath (he likes to start the bath and put himself in, unsupervised), so he stripped down and ran back outside, right in between Mom and PoPo.  He jumped on the trampoline and was as happy as he could be.  Little brothers are something else.  Especially this one!

 Since our date at PBS was cancelled, we went to Sonic's play area with Colson and Jane instead.  It was very wet and we were very dirty, but we sure had a good time!

 Meekin's shorts got wet, so there he was again, stripping them off.  Fortunately, we were the only ones there and they didn't have to see him strip and change clothes over and over!

 When we left Carthage, we headed for Hermitage and joined in on a garage sale with Michelle's family.  We've adopted Jo and Preston's grandparents as our own since they took such good care of us and like all good grandparents, really indulged us.  Shel took a break from the sale to read a book to Preston and Meekin.

 While we were at the sale, Daddy worked on the bath house and well at Pittsburg.  He made a lot progress!

It was fun to be gone, but it sure is good to be home!

Spring Program at Nativity

We had our Spring Program at school during our last week.  We sang songs and got certificates.  Mom took video of our performances, but is having issues with the sound.  If she can ever get it fixed, she'll post that too!

Last Day of PreK

Hard to believe my last day of school was 2 weeks ago!  We have been very busy since then! 

We received awesome news when school was out!  Mrs. Supplee is going to be my teacher again next year!  Wahoooo!!!  We are all very excited about that!

Zoo Day!

Today, this motley crew went to the zoo.  Funny faces seemed to rule the day!

 I loved taking pictures and took over Mom's camera several times.  In the distance, you can see the new arial ride at the zoo that travels over Africa. 

 We gave Mom a break from pulling us in the wagon and pulled and pushed ourselves!

 Those hippos are always sleeping.  I think we should build a bridge over the water so we can pet them, but the zookeeper said they are pretty cranky!

 We love giraffes!  There were even two babies today!

 They are so sweet with their fuzzy little tufts of hair on their horns!

 Every time we go to the zoo, it seems that the rhino is pacing.  Today, he was taking a rest!

Funday Monday!

Monday started off with my next to last day of school and Mrs. Supplee's birthday!  We surprised her with treats and flowers in a vase that we made.

 After school, we went to a rental house where Daddy was working on a broken water line.  He had to use an excavator for the day to dig a trench and I got to help!  I was in hog heaven and Mom tried her hardest to catch all my funny expressions.  Daddy let me do it by myself most of the time, he'd just tell me which controller to move in what direction.  I wish we had an excavator at home - we'd have no need for grass!
