Meekin found a new use for our beach bucket!

Daddy and I got caught at the beach as a rain storm came up, so he carried me back home!

This is one seriously big lizard on a telephone pole outside!
I've been working on my Spanish and really enjoyed watching Spanish cartoons!
Meekin decided that vacation life is really for him!
Daddy had to pounce on Jason to wake him up for dinner!

Meekin decided to crawl up on Daddy to wake him up after a rough night. Then, he decided that Daddy was pretty comfortable to lay on!

El Yunque Rainforest

We went to El Yunque Rainforest, the only tropical U.S. National Forest. There a are lots of waterfalls and a steep and winding mountain road that goes almost to the top. You can see lots of waterfalls from the road, but there are a few you can only hike to. The visitors center is a very cool building that is built in the tree tops!


There were lots of pretty flowers and plants in the rainforest too!

We climbed up a tall observation tower to see far away and it was cool!

Mi Familia Vacacione en Puerto Rico

I got woke up VERY early on January 20! It was cold and dark, but Mama and Daddy promised me it wouldn't be that way for long. Before I knew it, we were at the airport and I was ready to read the paper. Daddy shared his Wall Street Journal with me, which produced many laughs from other passengers around us.

A couple of naps later, we landed in Puerto Rico and Meekin says he's ready to hit the beach. Trunks? Check. Rash guard? Check. Sucky? Check.

On our way to the beach, we saw a funny sight...it's called 'sleeping grass'. When you walk on it, it curls up and when you're gone, it puffs back up. Pretty cool!

Meekin got a big welcome from one of the puppies that lives downstairs from us. He wasn't very happy with it!

He wanted to be held after his puppy kiss, but he still really liked watching the pups!

Daddy and I built a hill for the king crab to sit on. We also constructed a sand and coconut wall to protect his kingdom.
Nanny's used to doing the 'Sanibel Stoop', now she's working on the 'Puerto Rico Pick Up'. We found lots of shells and pretty sea glass!This is me being a backhoe.This is a piece of fine art. It's called, 'Man on a Rock Thinking Life is Good'.
After the beach, we hit the pool. Daddy says I'm going to be a big time swimmer by the end of our month here!
This is Meekin's new trick that Nanny taught him. He's a pretty funny dude!

Snow Much Fun!

Most of the snow is melting now, but it's been a cold and snowy month! This was the first time Daddy had to clear the driveway. Don't worry, the orange tractor isn't ours...he borrowed it and it's blade from a neighbor. You know we only drive green!

I've also been helping Daddy shovel the yard.


This is pretty much how the house has looked for the last month! It's been very cold and gray!

Mowing the lawn's hard work is usually my statement of choice, but today I realized building a snowman is hard work!

Ha! A stolen moment on the Gator all by myself! I better enjoy it...Henry's always close behind!

I'm getting pretty good at feeding myself, as well as giving myself yogurt facials!


No, Mama, my feet aren't supposed to be on the couch, but I love watching Daddy cut wood with the chain saw!

Seems I'm always getting busted climbing...or trying to climb things!

We even had a quick visit from PoPo this week...hopefully the first of many now that he's retired!
