Water Boy

Today, Mom and I met some of our friends at our local sprayground. It was my first time, but it definately won't be my last - we had a great time! I love to get wet and splash!

I discovered a little fountain that was just my size! My friend Elijah is checking me out! I really wanted to drink some of the water, but Mom wouldn't let me. Elijah was sneaky - he had a few sips before he got caught!

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

I'm learning to feed myself and the first course of dinner tonight was lima beans and Kix cereal. I have great hand eye coordination, but I like to play in my food...this usually means I get to play in the bathtub after I eat. Really, it's just a ploy to get to play in the bathtub for the second or third time that day...don't tell Mom, OK?I hear some people spend a fortune at the spa on a bean mask. It makes the skin very smooth!
Say Cheese! You can see 5 of my teeth, but I suprised everyone today - another tooth on top! That makes 6!

Welcome to the Jungle!

Last week, I had my first trip to the Kansas City Zoo with Grandpa Van, Grandma Terri & Uncle Bren. We had a good time and I really loved the animals!
Here are a couple of wild ones!
Uncle Bren & I got to ride a Hippo!


This is my first ever boat ride. We rode a boat across a lake and into Africa! How that happened, I don't know. I've been looking at a map and it seems like we'd be on a boat for a much longer time.
Here are a few of my favorite animals that we saw along the way... The sea lions are cool! I love their barking noises and how they splash!


I would really like to climb on this turtle and ride - he's HUGE!
Ah, the monkeys! I love them all! Mom and Dad were arguing about whose side of the family they were on. I guess there's a lot of family that I haven't met yet. This big guy had a few lower teeth like me.



The giraffes are soooo tall! I'd like to slide down their necks!

These meercats were a hoot! Here they are worshipping the sun gods, I guess.

The nap was short lived so I didn't miss much! What a fun day we had!
Last week, I also got to go to the water park and splash - just like the sea lions. I've been working on my climbing skills on the steps at home too. Usually when I climb them, Mom and Dad talk about insurance and ambulances and the emergency room, then they make me stop climbing. Last night, I got my 5th tooth! Now I have 2 teeth on top and 3 on bottom. I'm still waiting for that steak...anyone?

I'm a Big Kid!

Mom has been teaching me how to do laundry lately. I really enjoy feeling the warm clothes when the come out of the dryer, but I'm not real big on folding...I do however, like to unfold clothes and climb into the basket.

My 3 lower teeth are almost visible in this picture. How do you like my mohawk? After I've had a bath, you can almost see my hair! I'm still sticking by the story that bald is beautiful!

This is me in my bed. Well, it is me in what used to be my bed. Mom didn't know that my cool antique wrought iron bed rails are a little shorter than the new crib rails. She was afraid that I'd bail out of my bed, so I have a different bed to sleep in now.

Last week, the weather was nice enough for me to swim in my pool! Nana Jo played with me and we had a great time!

Does Anyone Know a Good Dentist?

In the past 8 days, I've gotten three more teeth, that's a total of 4 teeth in 12 days. I have 3 on the bottom and 1 on the top. Anyone ready to buy me a steak yet? I'll be ready to be a full fledged carnivore soon!

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is Dad's big 30th birthday! He had a party last night and got a giant yellow bird. They showed it to me today - I slept through his party - and I thought it was odd, yet funny. What I think is very strange is that Mums gave him that bird. Seems more like a present I should be getting, not Dad. I still can't figure out these grown ups.

Say Cheese!

I just have to share with everyone what a big boy I am! I waved at a girl in the store when Mom and I were shopping today and I've been thinking about what I want to be when I grow up. I'm still not sure, I've been thinking about being a mechanic. I really like to work on the chair while Mom's working in the office. She's afraid she's going to roll over my fingers, but I'm tough and this is where I want to be.

My crawling has gotten completely out of control, according to Dad and Mom! I can even pull myself up and stand - with the assistance of some furniture or something, of course. I enjoy playing with my musical Leap Frog table because it sings funny songs to me.

The craziest thing happened last night...I couldn't sleep very well because my mouth was hurting. Now, my parents didn't think it was any big deal because my mouth has been hurting since the middle of December (Yes, mom says, since the middle of December - that's 5 LONG months). Well, this morning when I woke up, my mom could SEE why my mouth was hurting! A TOOTH! FINALLY! The toothless wonder is no longer!
