Local Wild Life

We've been trying to get a picture of our resident groundhog for several years now.  I think he's finally gotten used to the idea we're not going to hurt him, we just want to capture his image for posterity. 

If you look closely, you can see him hanging out just outside his 'door' - a hole underneath our favorite oak.

Whoa!  That's some serious wild life there!  Thankfully, the raccons not pictured didn't get to all of Tom & Kathy's corn, so they shared with us!

Supervisor Material

Henry:  'I like to supervise, Daddy.'

Daddy:  'Well, what about when Mom's around?'

Henry:  'I'm not boss?'

Daddy:  'I don't think so, partner!'

This conversation took place while Daddy and his little helper were upgrading some faucets in our bathroom.  Henry was a great help fetching parts, telling Chris what he wasn't doing quite right and his favorite - rolling plumbers putty into a perfect 'worm'. 

It worked!  No leaks!

BBF (Best Brothers Forever)

While Meekin and I definately can fight with the best of them, we love each other an awful lot and really like playing together.  Mom wonders what it will be like to have an only child again for a few hours each week when I start pre-school in August.  I'm pretty sure she'll enjoy the break! 

Daddy got a new tractor seat last week, so of course we had to try it out - straight off the UPS truck and out of the box!

We've been 'scuba diving' and looking for seashells!

Don't forget the underwater sea pears too!

There's always something to be worked on around here.

Rotary Park

We visited Rotary Spray Park with Jo & Preston last week and boy did we have fun.  We couldn't decide if we liked the sprayground or the playground the most!  Meekin wasn't too sure about the buckets dumping on kids heads, but eventually he decided it was ok!

Teething hurts...even when you're having fun.

Daddy's Boys!

Daddy surprised Meeks and I last week with water guns!  What fun we had on a hot evening squirting each other!

A Bang Up 4th of July!

We had an awesome time at Gram and Pappy's house on July 4th!  Uncle Bob and Aunt Jeanie even joined us for a couple days over the weekend.  Meekin was being very photogenic that night, so there's lots of pictures of him.  As for me, I just really liked playing with all the fired off fireworks and getting dirty!

Meekin and I both love devouring Aunt Willa's deviled eggs!  YUM!

Washing Windows...

Henry brought his plastic safety goggles to Nanny and asked, 'Can you wash the windows on this?'
