Catching Up

We've had a lot of playgroup fun this summer that I haven't shared! My friends and I took a horse drawn, covered wagon 'horsey ride' around the square and got a little history lesson while we were at it. Afterwards, we had pizza - YUM! This is my friend JT and I. Even though I don't look overly thrilled in this picture, I did have a good time and talk about the experience frequently!
We've also spent some mornings at the local waterpark. I love to watch the big bucket 'SPLASH'!
What else cools a kid (and a mom) off on a hot day better than ice cream??? Our friends had a tour of Maggie Moo and then chowed down on some of the good stuff. My friend Joelle and I decided to drool on the cake case. We've both got birthdays coming up soon...I'm not sure about her, but I've chosen a Thomas the Train cake.

More Summer Fun!

I've been getting into things a lot lately...Mom and Daddy are pretty sure I'm part mountain goat. I have spots here and there in the house where I climb up on things to see out the windows and check the neighborhood progress. I also like to climb up and play with my numbers and letters on the fridge.

My Great Aunt Vicki and Great Uncle Jeff came to visit yesterday from the California desert. We had a ton of fun playing and laughing. Mom thinks they're energetic with me because they don't have any other kids to wear them out. Aunt Vicki even made me a watch out of play-doh. Uncle Jeff got me wound up tickling me!
Then he taught me that lime juice in adult beverages is yummy! We went to our moms group today and Mom got her new sling from Tiffany (time for a commercial break: order your baby carrier from http://www.babysosmart.com/ ...back to regular programming...) and she was sooooo excited! She even stole a baby to put in it. She was kissing all over that new Carsten baby! I wanted Mom to hold me, but she was a little nervous I'd poke the baby's eyes out! I proved to her that I could be nice to the baby, so she's relieved. We had lunch (at 'Nonalds', of course) with my friends JT, Shelby and Joelle after Mom FINALLY let that baby go back to his momma. I wanted to show off my duds...I dressed myself today! I love my bee boots!
We don't have any pictures to prove it, but last weekend, Dad took me to the lake for his family reunion. It was too far for the old pregnant Mom to travel, so she had to stay home with Nanny. Dad and I had great fun with the family! We had boat rides, Sea Doo rides and slept in Gram and Pappy's camper! Auntie Allie said I was the hit of the party! I know I'm cool!

One Hot July

This has been one seriously warm and humid month, but nothing can keep me from having a good time! For the 4th of July, we went to a party at our friends Mike & Stacie's house. Gram and Pappy came too...Gram gave me tea (don't tell Mom, though it didn't keep me up...I slept through all the fireworks!), we played badminton and had a fun time!
The next weekend, my friend Colson came to see me and we went treasure hunting! We also took a spin in my car - good thing both of us have skinny little heineys! Colson is going to have a baby sister about the same time my baby brother arrives. Both our moms have pretty big bellies right now!
Last weekend, we had a big party at our house with Pappy's side of the family. During the gathering, we had a baby shower for my newest cousin, Ellie. Ellie was supposed to be born after my brother but she decided she needed to come early...very early! She is a tiny baby, but she's doing well. She lives in Germany, so it'll be awhile before we get to see her, other than in pictures. During the party, I was riding on Daddy's shoulders and decided it was time to start beating him into submission. He whined and cried a little bit...

But then it worked. Mission accomplished!
Today, Mom took me to the spray ground. We've been having lots of fun at the water park lately, but I didn't love the spray ground as much. I was a little sleepy, so we'll have to try again one of these days after I get a nap.

A Junk Junkie

For those of you who don't know, my dad is a total junk junkie! He loves to have lots of toys and I love it because it means lots of ride time for me!
His latest toy is an old beat up electric cart and when we got it fired up today for the first time, I had a blast!!

Even Mom got it on the action and we took a spin around the driveway.

Dad got the brilliant idea to hook my bike trailer on the back and then we were really on the go!
On another note, I think I'm getting used to the idea of having a baby brother. I have been kissing him a lot lately. I've also been trying to climb in his bed, which makes Mom more than a little nervous!

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day weekend, the family packed up and went to Carthage to see Grandpa PoPo and Great Grandpa Henry. While there, we met Uncle Bren's new puppy Macy and did a lot of playing. I also got kissed by lots of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!
Grandpa PoPo and I played on the trampoline one evening and there seemed to be a lot of 'skeeters out and he was getting pretty bit up. I thought it was pretty funny that he kept slapping himself trying to kill those pests. At one point, I laughed so hard, he thought I was going to pass out!

Uncle Bren was helping steady my stunt bike while I was practicing my Evil Knevil moves. Mom just thought it was a good way to get an ER visit, but I wasn't scared. It was fun!

Fathers Day morning was a good time to watch a Feed the Children infomercial and hand out gifts. Daddy got some pretty fancy 'spenders that he'd been hoping for.

Grandpa PoPo can now have some handy tools to cook my steak!

While there, I also managed to push that pretty red button on the phone...again...twice... The 911 operator didn't think it was so funny - especially the second time. Fortunately, we have connections to the police department, so I didn't get in too much trouble - other than from Mom!

Grandpa PoPo came to see us this week too. He decided to test out his motorcycle on a long ride. I didn't get a long ride this time, but I'm hoping someday I will!

Let's Roll!

Story from Mom: Nana has been working hard lately at teaching Henry to do somersaults and other feats of gymnastic ability. Yesterday, he and Daddy were going to go outside and as they made their exit from the bedroom into the hall, Daddy said, 'Let's roll, Henry!' Henry proceeded to lay down on the floor and roll down the hallway. We use an awful lot of slang in the english language, don't we?
Henry's also learned this week to say his name!
